Finally received it about a month ago from our state's fine dmv. I only applied for it back in July...

Btw, it is a genuine calif amateur radio plate, not a personalized plate. That means a one-time fee of $21, and a standard annual registration fee.

That looks so much better than all the other plates you see in CA. Any idea why it took so long to get?

I was on my third temporary (pink/white number) registration sheet before I received the plates. When I was at the dmv to get my second temp, the employee that issued it said that the delay was most likely due to the mandatory furloughs (state budget) and resulting short-staffing.
