Ok im in the market for a new Scout because mine was stolen I have two I have been looking at but need help because I don't know much about the rallye scouts

1) 1978 International Scout II rallye-some rust nothing major 345 v8 automatic new tires 87k original miles thats all I know about it an I have a few pics its the baby blue one.

2) 75 Scout International II-was sitting in a barn lot needing some attention! The owner started it up and drove it around the other day and bought a brand new battery for it.he has a bikini top frame, and a hardtop, transfer case, and a few other parts.

Im leaning towards the 78 rallye because its a really nice rig that just needs a little cleaning up an a paint job but it is a rally an I don't know anything about them. I just wanted to get a few opinions on the two rigs

Sorry to hear you were ripped off.:mad5: other than decals, which are mostly gone on the '78 and rallye wheels, which look to have been replaced, there really isn't that much difference. The rallye was just additional lipstick applied to the same basic pig. Usually a rallye came fully loaded with all available goodies, but those same goodies could be spec'd and often were on the plain jane scouts. So it probably comes down to which one is the best bang for the buck. Which one needs the least amount of tlc and modifications to make you happy?

Thanks for the info an both are a good deal an I am leaning towards the rallye because it won't need that much tlc an I lover the rally graphics an you can't beat 2500$ for a running Scout with that few miles.
