My new Binder

Good morning,
I have been an IH fan sent the 70s although I have only previously owned a 1962 Scout hunting buggy. I recently decided I did not like being without a truck so I watched ebay and cl for about six months and finally ended up with the truck in my album -- 1969 1500d. This thing was delivered in January 1969 to elbert county farm supply in Colorado, and I bought it from a rancher in elbert. It has not been licensed for at least 7 years although it was earning its keep on the ranch. I bought it for the heavy duty chassis; it has no comfort options whatsoever (not even a radio). It's overkill to use it for hauling the gas can for my lawn mower but I figure it's entitled to an easy retirement. My plan is simply to do a full fluid/filter/tuneup/brakes service, get everything working, and then clean it up and maybe convert the grain bed to a flatbed.
Never short of projects,

Welcome and congrats! That's quite a workhorse. If it could talk, I'm sure it would let you know how insulted it feels to just haul a small gas can around every once in awhile. Load me up, dammit! I guess you could remind it that it could easily be turned into 4 or 5 prius's if the gas can isn't worthy of hauling. That would shut it up.
