My first Scout build

Thought I better get around to posting a few pics while it still looks decent...have a full summer of hard wheelin' planned!
Bought this 73 a while back, was mostly original and very rough. I had plans for a very mild daily driver on 31's...well you all know how that goes! I have done everything from bodywork/paint, suspension mods, axles, roll cage, bumpers, etc in my 2 car garage.
It all started with a spring over/reversal with rancho springs, home fabbed shackles, pro comp long travel shocks 9/16" u bolts thru 3/4" plates, fresh d44's with ausie lockers,4.56 gears, ballastic covers, disc brakes all around.front is a narrowed/cut n turned Chevy with Scout chromo axles. Home fabbed beadlocks, 37" pitbull rocker radials, psc hydro asist, high steer/cross over. The cage is 1 3/4" dom tied to frame/bumpers/rock sliders. The hard top still fits, but doubt it will be used much. Inside the cage is a set of corbeau seats and belts. The original 345 is still ticking away...did convert to elect. Distributor, new Holley two barrel, 100 amp alternator and optima battery. I would like to do a complete powertrain rebuild this winter along with injection or propane/dual fuel. Auto trans is alittle weak, and the t-case is making some strange noise so its just a matter of time!

Thanks! I have been snooping around here for quite along time...soaking up all the great IH tech stuff like a sponge. I have several wheelin buddies around here, but no one is into the IH thing.along with about a dozen muscle cars, this is the 5th 4x ive built, but the first Scout. Now im hooked. Obsessed really. My next one will be for my oldest daughter. She is well set on having a Scout when she's on the road(or off?) in a few years.
