Mayben -- could you toss in one of the lower flywheel inspection cover pieces -- the ones still attached to the 2 core transmissions I sent your way? Opps....

By the time I got over to terry's to retrieve one of them -- the trailer was gone :(

Now...I suppose ya want it painted too...with new hardware...

Ya have yore choice of colors right now...basic black, hot pink, glyptol red, or rust. I'll make an executive decision and go with black for now!

What else ya need??? Don't ask for wampum though this week, that's a not fun subject around here right now!

1) the tranny without the pan attached is of zero value -- it is a confirmed non runner - it was purchased for $50 as a 'good runner' installed and didn't do anything.... :mad5: .

2) the tranny with the pan was a runner (I actually think it is pretty good and the real problem was a failing shift linkage and mal-adjusted kickdown...) but it was said to be 'going out'.

Do whatever you do with stuff like that! And thanks again -- I haven't moved the truck yet by I have no question that the tranny will be good.
 
Ok kidz...I'm packin' schnizz.

Got tools and tranny supplies, books/references, a valve body for demo, etc.

Gotta fresh dipstick for monte (no, I did not call monte a dip stick) anda gasket.

Got some tin and hardware for chris I shorted him.

Gotta carb or maybe two for the roths that someone needs to drop off with 'em sumtime. No way ups can handle deliveries by "relay" like we can, besides...we gotta pay 'em.

Bringin' tha leetle trailer so's I kin hawl terry's slushbox back along with that axle

michael's pos Holley 5200 is still a pos, I ain't got it worked out yet...but gittin' closer. But it'sa dam clean pos now!

Speak up if there is anythin' I might have that sumbody needs so I can brung it too.
 
Jennifer is gonna bring the girl Scout over for victim #2. It needs the band treatment and the shifter seal replaced. Got a seal with ya Mike?
 
Leaving in just a few minutes...I do have two pairs of seals packed in the box. And a new cotter pin puller/hook tool to try out and see how it works on seal poppin' with the tranny installed.

But I got only one pan gasket and I tolt monte he could have that one to go with the filter ya gave him. Have jen slide by the parts emporium and pick up a filter/gasket kit.

Jen gotta hot battery in tha rig?? Ittsa' cold sumbitch here right now!
 
Well I really fooked this deal!

Got pulled over by osp in cedar flat for a headlight out (flicked the light switch and they both then came on) and 5 mph over the limit. He nailed me just as the speed zone transitioned to 45 and I was slowing down, he admitted he saw that.

The dude also "advised" that osp was giving "special attention" to the mckenzie valley during morning and evening drive time 'cause not enuff road repair treasure has been coming in from residents up here, seems all them tweekers that are constantly practicing property crimes up here don't pay their allocated share of protection either.

But the big problem...my texas dl (don't ask why I still have that) was expired...for 2 years! That's my own dam fault, I just don't think about schnizz like driving tax ("privilege" my ass) and such. On toppa that, the "system" shows the texas dl has been revoked because it was not renewed inna "timely" fashion.

So I'm scruud currently because I didn't take carea shit regarding the driving "privilege" tax remittance. Ended up with only warnings for the reason to stop, but a tikee for no dl.

So now it's jump through the bureaucrat hoops for several hours on Monday by long distance, since I'm "revoked" I can't just go gitta orygone driver tax receipt and then pay tha dam tickee so the state treasure chest can be refreshed. What makes it worse...I done drove to texas and back twice since the tax expired and never even checked!

At least he agreed to not have me towed.

Sorry I had ta bail on yawl, it's my own dam fault and I can't blame this on billary or obamalamadingdong. We'll try agin when I git legal.
 
I did not get the message in time (who checks the internet on a Saturday morning?).

So I arrived at terry's at 8:59am with my donuts.

He told me the news -- so we sat around ate donuts, then cruised up to u-pull-it for some parts and made a morning of it anyway.

You missed some good donuts mayben (knuckle head!!). Mmm....

I even had plain ol' simple ones for the heart healthy crowd :dita:

Mike, shit happens, I understand. It turned out to be a good day anyway. My mopar buddies and myself drove over the top of bald mountain to check out the storm damage. We ended up in pacific city, so we took a drive on the beach and then stopped and ate some oysters. The weather was perfect, no wind, just sunshine. It made me wish the top was off.

the good news is you will not have to jump through any bureaucratic hoops on Monday.

The bad news is they will be open on Tuesday and all the hoops will be rested and ready for you.

The state boys have a holiday(paid, kinda like your ss check in that we get paid for doing nothing) on Monday.:winky:

I'll just blackberry over to "o" and make a dam pitypot appeal for a chicago-type dl, ya know, the one with the big wad of venezuelan dineros duktaped to the back like they use for grease in chitown???

That's ok...I got locals linin' up to ferry me arount....momma is still kickin' my azz and she won't let up. She reminded me there is a dam bus stop up at leaburg store, but it only runs twice a day in the mornin', and twice in tha evenin'. That means I gotta remember how ta tell time too.

Monte...Todd called ta tell me sum of hiz buds wuz water ski'n the bar outta florence port today it wuz so flat, the temp was in the 70's!!! At the same time (about 1:30p), it wuz still 30f here with the fogfreeze hangin' in the air.

Sorry agin for the scruup...but at least yawl made the best of the day!

We should have seen this coming - you accent should have giving you away as a potential undocumented driver just like the rest of 'them' from around the border. I guess we didn't see it coming due to the color of your skin - that will teach me... :icon_eh:

I feel for you Mike. I have had something similar happen to me.. But I couldn't talk them outta towing off my vehicle. That was a stroke of luck for you.

X2 on the towing. If your "papers" are not all up to date, your getting towed. In fact it a known city money maker as it cost you about $1000 to get your junk out of hock. Several city down here do more that there fair share of towing. The local paper shown my city made over 1,000 stops last year and 3/4 of those stop the cars/trucks were inpounded.

Well I hope it all works out for ya, without having to show up in texas.
