I just picked up a Willys PU truck and it has an IH v8. I looked in the normal 345ci stamp spot but its blank so i looked above the fuel pump on the block face and found embossed “4445”. Can anyone tell me what the heck i have and what it may have come out of?

Might be a 266. Some of them didn't have the CID stamped into the boss on the block. I have no idea what the number you referenced cast into the block signifies. Probably meaningless. Post some wider pics of the engine from multiple angles. Also focus in on where the dipstick tube is bolted to the cylinder head. There will be an upper and a lower hole location, with only one being used. The lower hole is for short deck engines, 266 and 304 and the upper bolt is for tall deck engines, 345 and 392.
