Just restoring an 800A 1970 scout with an auto tranny and the 304. Can't find a new tranny dipstick anywhere so Can to go with a universal one.

Can ANYONE please send me the correct length so I have the correct amount of tranny fluid.

Thank you so much

Even the distance from the stop to the full line would be of great help to me.

Thanks in advance

I don't have this model transmission in anything, so can't help with stick measurement. I did look it up in the S800 parts catalog. The IH part number is 364637 C1. Occasionally, I've had luck finding obscure parts via google search of the part number, but no such luck this time. The parts catalog also makes no mention of the length.

Scoutboy74, thanks so much for that. I will continue my easter egg hunt. If I get the measurements I figured I would just make my own. I am surprised how hard it is to find that dipstick as that borg warner 3 speed is all over the place.

Again Thanks for your time.

You might have some luck in the classifieds section of this forum and BP also. Maybe even place a "parts wanted" ad in the appropriate subheading. Somebody somewhere has one. Torqueflite stuff from the later Scouts is quite a bit more commonplace than the BW stuff.
