INTRODUCTIONS

Hi guys, I had my granddad's 1972 1210 pickup fixed up at IHOnly north last year. Now its back with me in mountain view. I'm planning on meeting you all in death valley soon. I have no offroading experience to speak of, so I am expecting to learn a thing or two. The truck is a travelette with the 392, t-407 transmission and 4wd.

My name is Robert and I drive a '70 Travelall 1210.

137.jpg

It's got d60s front and rear and ARB air lockers. Sadly I haven't put it in 4wd since I bought it in sept. I took the 37" tires off and put some 32"s on there. Now it looks closer to stock and I can turn to the right. The 37"s rubbed really bad on the steering when turning right. My family and I live in alameda.

My name is scotty im in galt I have a 1970 Scout 800 a freshly rebuilt 304 shackle reversal kits done not much left to do to start wheelin it

Welcome to both stoney and thumper

both ya have what looks to be good base to start with for build ups. Thanks for the photo drool op

I work in oakland a couple blocks from the coliseum. Keep your eyes open for future posts of IH work days up here in my little man cave of a shop space in richmond.

I have a choice of 3 scouts to sit in and dream of all the cool places to drive through. So much so, that once I tried to fling my 74 up into a tree to creat a new form of a tree house. More like a new form of tree hugging - lol

Thanks scooter I have seen a few of your workday posts. Sounds like fun I have a little weld/blacksmith shop at my house in oakland. Hopefully I can figure out the ignition problem with my rig soon then I can go crazy with the welding on it.:out:

Gentlemen,

it was nice meeting you all at the fall rallye. Now that I finally have a running IH vehicle, I look forward to becoming an active babs member. See you all soon.

Hey,

I live in san jose and I have a red 1970 Scout 800a with a 304. It's currently stuck in the driveway while I redo the electrical and fuel systems. I'm going to try to make it to one of the meetups soon.

Cheers,
-rob
