This one came from winston. It was on cl I have been talking to the guy for a few weeks now. The parts that I got with it are worth more then the rig. The Scout is pretty rusty but just perfect for the ihsc....:devil:

Look like oldskool hookers to me. That convoluted routing on the passenger side is a giveaway. Methodology for coming up with "equal length" toobs.
 
One thang I've always admired about them old skule hookers is their ahem...equal length tubes. Just so long as their collectors ain't too sloppy. :yikes:

Yeah...works really slick if the tubes is tied!

But I no longer have that problem...there's all kindsa uses for tha mityvac. Takes up alotta slack!

So now bubba is whinin' about hiz threads??? For a sales dude mikee's kinda "sensitive". Must be that hormonal imbalance thang he's got goin' since the cuttin'...guess I need to demo that mityvac deal for him huh trev???

A dam mityvac ain't nuthin' up aside a 3.5cfm robinair vavuum pump though...that's major horsepower!

I'd didn't say I minded them going off the tracks. Just that I figured out why.....:ciappa: :ciappa:
 
I guess the first thing I wonder about when I see something like that is; is it a real factory race truck or did someone try to make their stock Scout look like one? And if it is a real racer, who raced it and when/where?

That was the first thing I wonderd too and part of the reason I bought it was to find out. However it is not a factory racer. In fact it is not a factory SSII. It was however converted sometime in the 70s when the factory "plastic" incerts were still available. I still ended up with some great parts just not as sweet of deal as it could have turned out....:dita:
