Hey guys! I need help. I really need a truck and being that I have 5 International scouts in various stages of repair or parts only, I thought my find was find was a perfect truck for me to grab up. However, I was wrong. I bought a 1972 1100 2wd truck with a 304 and a 4 spd. It is in immaculate condition! It was a delivery truck for a local building supply company. It only has 47,000 actual miles. It has no rust, the interior is perfect and it purrs like a kitten. There is a small dent in drivers door that I put in it loading it onto trailer. Here is the problem. It does not have a rear end. The guy I got it from, who got it from the building supply store tore it out after he got it. He took it out to replace it but after a while gave up and sold it to me. I thought heck yea, I can put front and rears out of one of my scouts under it with t-case and have 4-wheel drive truck. Well, that wont work. They are to narrow. So what to do? I have very little money to use now and have to use what I have or forget it for now. What I have is a 1988 f-250 4x4 with 302 and 5 spd. Engine is bad and frame is rusted bad, but axles are good. Can I swap them into my International? Also could I use the 5 spd? If I could use the axels that would be great, if I could use axels and 5 spd that would be awesome! Please help the ignorant!, but not stupid. Thanks in advance!
