ignitor II question

I installed an ignitor II in my presto dizzy today. When I did the ground test 8 olms resistance. According to the guide from pertronix this indicates faulty ground.

I assume this indicates the dizzy is not grounded, if so how to I make sure the dizzy is grounded?

The distributor is physically connected to the engine, which should be directly connected to the neg side battery post. There's your ground path. It would be tough for me to envision a scenario where the distributor isn't grounded under those basic, rock bottom circumstances.
