Not much to go on here. There are a number of things that could be causing this condition. Is the sputter present all the time, or only once the engine has warmed? How long have you had this truck? Have you made any changes under the hood? What's the age/condition of the points, condenser, spark plugs, wires, carb? Has the dwell angle been verified? Are the plugs gapped correctly? Made any adjustments to the timing? Which carb do you have? Has it been refurbished within the last two years? Are the idle mixture screws adjusted for a lean best idle? Have you hooked up a vacuum gauge to measure manifold vacuum at idle? What is your curb idle speed with a warm engine? Do you have an auto or manual trans?
Some of the above you May not be able to answer, but please provide as much supporting info as you can. It wouldn't hurt to supply some well focused pics of your engine bay from various angles with the air cleaner canister removed from the carb. This will help us visually identify exactly what components you have and we May even be able to spot some problem areas that need attention.
