How rare is a 73' 2WD?

Its in the right section now. The mods are pretty good about moving stuff to where it belongs. We don't know what the vehicle in question is, but irregardless the term "rare" doesn't really apply to any IH light line vehicle in this case. Without knowing the production figures, I still feel confident in saying that 4x4 scouts were produced in greater numbers than 4x2 versions. That only makes the 4x2's somewhat less common. As far as d-series pick-alls, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that 4x2 versions were produced in equal to if not greater numbers than the 4x4 versions.

Thanks, it is a Scout II w/258/727 setup and Dana 44? Rearend, w/half cab. I've been scouring the forum for info in the last 12 hrs since I got it, still haven't found a chiltons service manual though...any ideas?

There's 1 in the class ads, don't know if it sold yet,but you really don't want a chilton's.you want a real ihc service manual.they have been on ebay lately.Jeff

Yes, d44 rear axle. That combo of equipment packaged together in a Scout is a smidge on the unique side. Most sii's were full travel tops. Authorized service manual all the way. Available new from the online store here if you can't find used.
