Any ideas how to pull this knob off. Has little pin hole in the side. I have tried running a piece of small wire in there thinking there was a realse button of some sort. I didnt try pulling real hard not wanting to brake the switch itself. Maybe I'm retared and its simple but I hate braking shit.

That looks like a roll pin.
Get a small pin punch and punch it out.
Support the opposite side of the knob/shaft when hitting the punch.

I should have included. The hole is only on one side. So I dont thnk tis can be a roll pin. Thanks for the reply. I have sprayed some wd-40 thinking it might just be stuck with no luck yet.

This May not apply to your switch, but on later hl switches, there is a spring loaded release button on the bottom side of the switch body. Pushing up on it allows the switch knob to be removed. Shine a light up under the dash and see if your switch has this little button.

Cannot really tell from the picture...

Could be a small hex head set screw,

if there is no push button on the headlight switch
