Fuel Recondenser

Hello forum members. Well I’m new to the IH Scout life and I have questions about the fuel recondenser. I just bought my first IH Scout II. It is a 73 on a later model chassis. I’m currently installing a GM TBI system. I recently dropped my fuel tank to hook up a return line and I found that I only had one line hooked up to the fuel recondenser. So I want to get this thing hooked up the right way but I don’t have a clue nor do I currently have a manual for my binder. So could some one advise me on how to hook it up correctly/run lines from where to where. Does anyone have an illustration/picture to show the correct way.

How about the TBI I intend to use: will the fuel recondenser work fine with it or should it be reconfigured differently? My return line from the TBI; should I run it to the fuel tank or the condenser?

I have asked these questions to a few friends of mine but one of them has a TBI and the other does not and they both have different opinions.

(I included a pic for someone to make reference to)

I have some IH literature with a very detailed picture of the fuel evap system that I'll try to scan in and post. The return line for the fuel injection needs to be run into the tank. I usually tee together two of the evap lines and then use the availble port on the fuel tank for the return line.

Thanks. Yes I could really use that detailed picture. Please post when you get a chance. By the way; thanks for the steering parts and getting them to me overnight. I got it hooked up and it works great. Glad to get rid of the rag joint.

I ran my return to one of the top front corner fittings on the later tanks.
The early tanks didn't have any fittings there.

Ok well after talking to Jeff over the phone, it turns out there was difficulty with scaning the image and reducing the size of the image to post on the website. Jeff gave me a verbal description on how to set it up. My memory only functions so well when I’m driving and talking on the cell phone at the same time; sorry Jeff. So I searched the binder bulletin and found the image below. Unless someone advises me to do something different I’m going to go with this illustration plus the two front corner vapor vent hoses I will tee together and hook up to the driver side front corner of the tank and hook my fuel return to the passenger side front corner. Any other recommendations?

Thats basically the same picture I was going to post. One of the top two ports on the fuel tank should work just fine.
