Fordyce Trail report

So if you didn't know, Dad and I made the trek down to the Sierra Fall Rallye and to run the fordyce trail this past weekend. It was just us and damon (plug ugly on the forum) and his wife. It was a great time! The trail was amazing and the weather was beautiful. We started the trail at indian springs and ended at committee crossing. We kept a good pace and stopped for occasional breaks, pictures, and lunch, and it took us about 9 hours. It was a good thing we had such a great trail guide because this was one gnarly trail. My Scout amazed me. Right before the third water crossing, and exit route, I broke the rear driveline and ripped the plug out of the transfer case. So we ended driving out in front wheel drive (with a tow) and a transfer case with no oil (which is now shot). A new driveline, transfer case, and.....skid plate are in order! Here are a few pics of the ride:

And as soon as the snails that run my internet wake up from their nap, I will post more pics.

That looks great. I love the scenery. Poke those snails, I want to see more.

Hopefully the wheelin' was followed by an ultimate party night(tm)!

Nice talking with you & your Dad jen.
Glad you guys made it home.

You got some more awards which Jeff will be sending you..

I dig your Scout.

I can now see a mount incorporated into the cage for boltin' on the spare transfer case to go along with the rest of the spares. And don't forget, that tc you are looking at from meester roth carries a full warranty from a third party as long as the lube stays inside and the water stays outside.

If ya need some more hd driveshaft stuff to have cut down to make a new driveline, I have the stuff in that junker 1210 peekup I'm parting that would make nice components. Much more robust that any sii-based schnizz, you can have it if ya want it when we get home.
