As many of you know my family has been going through some very hard times this last 2 years. Well a little sunshine finally broke through the clouds this week. On nov 7th, I will be the proud owner of a home again. It needs allot of work as it is a foreclosure (which is the only thing I can afford) but the potential is outstanding. It is 12 totally usable acres with a 4bd 3bath home on it. No shop at this point but it does have a large rv pole barn that will be converted to the shop once my father builds a new one for his rv.
Most of you know that my wife is terminally ill, my parents being the amazing and giving people that they are decided to put their retirement travels on hold for the most part and help me raise my boys. They are also helping me buy this place without them and their help there is no way I could afford to do this. I can not tell you what a blessing it is to have parents that are willing to do this type of thing.
The property itself is really fantastic, again it has been neglected for a couple of years but there is potential to do just about anything I want there. It is more acreage that I need but like Jeff’s Dad abe told me “they aren’t making land anymore buy as much as you can!” sound advice if you ask me. I am the smallest lot in the area, most of the others are between 17 and 25 acres so there are no neighbors very close and only 2 houses farther down the road. I am really excited about it and looking forward to having a place to call my own again. Here are a couple of pictures. Please look past the current to what it could be with a little love and attention. The one down side is that this will almost certainly put the Scout on hold for a year or so until I get the shop built but the long term pay off is completely worth it.
