Exhaust question

I will be using the Scout in the woods for hunting/scouting. I was wondering about going to single exhaust pipe and quieter muffler. What do you think this will do for back pressure or power loss. Any ideas?

Not much in either regard provided the muffler isn't too restrictive. At least around here, the deer don't seem to care that much about a few decibels this way or that from truck exhaust. Case in point, my Dad's '99 dodge cummins dee-smell. That shaking, rattling bastard makes enough noise to loosen fillings and wake the dead. We still see as many deer from the road as we would rolling in a lectric fart kart, which ain't very damn many. That's why we eventually have to shut the rattle trap down and get in the brush when conditions are favorable for foot stalking.

New in stock trim a 345 puts out 132 hp, with dual exhaust it puts out 144 hp.

Mufflers can be quiet with little or no resistance, it depends on available room of the undercarriage.

I've found that elk are more startled by the sight of my rig than any noise, then again trevor he might be the one doing the hiding :)
