Engine Isolator

Hey gang I am in the middle if some minor repair work on my 304. I have it out and in the course of repair I removed the engine mounts off the block. I noticed some scraps of what look like isolators between the block and the mount. Anyone have any idea if there are isolators there, what I can replace them with?

What vehicle are you working on? Basic data like this matters a great deal.

The isolators are not the big ones between the engine and the frame.

SII has a metal-encased, rubber mount on each side of the block that are roughly melon-sized. Do you have any pictures of what you're asking about? Its not ringing any bells. Could be some time of aftermarket whatchyamacallit.

From looking at the service manual I don't see any type of rubber gasket or other small separator between the engine mounts and the bracket.

Now that I have cleaned the 40+ years of grime off of the block and the mounts it is quite clear that there were no isolators there. Thanks for the help all!
