Hey im working with a 73 Scout 2 345 and it has a two barrel 2210. Use to have points but I installed electronic ignition, and now she wont rev over 2xxx rpms with out sputtering, cutting out , idles fine. What should I set the timing at? Does the carb just need a rebuild?
 
Okay, let's try to work through this one thing at a time. First, how did the engine run before you did the electronic conversion? Which product did you install? Did this job involve removing the distributor or rotating it? Did you perhaps remove more than one spark plug wire at a time either from the spark plugs or the distributor cap?
