I know this probally has been answered a hundred and one times but I just want to double check I got it right before I even try lol. Soo I installed a pertronix 2 unit in my delco distributor no problem but I am some what lost on coil resistance to run. I went to pertronix online and they say with the 2 unit to use .6 ohm resistance coil and that's what they are even selling so I got a msd blaster 2 coil 8202 with a .7 resistance thinking id be fine. But with more reading now I think itll kill it?? Do I need to run a ballast resistor of 0.8 ohm to bring me to a safe level of 1.5??
wire running to the coil is straight 12v none resistance wire from my new kwikwire 14 circuit unit direct if that changes anything.
I do know with the 1 unites you have to run a 1.5 resistance but they advertise the 2 unites to handle .6 now. Even though they sell there coil with the .6 I want to double check with everyone before I screw up. Hope there not just marketing bsing me lol
