Conversion Q

Hi my name is ben, I didnt see a general forum to properly introduce myself so please allow me to apologize for making my first post a question! :icon_redface:
I have a 1975 Scout II with a 304 and a stock 2210. I would like to convert this system over to a more efficent and frankly easier tuning carb. I have a stock IH/holly "gold box" solid state distributor and because the truck is registered in nh as an antique I dont have any emissions nonsense to deal with. I would like to stay with a two bbl and do as close to bolt in as possible. My average altitude is 400-1200ft and temps average 80 in summer and 20 in winter. I have a t-19 tranny.
I hope I have covered all the specs!
Any help is appreciated!

Welcome ben! You've come to the right place. IH Parts America, the ll vendor who operates this forum has the perfect solution for your needs. Its an aftermarket Holley model 2300 list #0-7448 which is as 350 cfm 2bbl modular carb with center hung float and can be set up with either manual choke or auto/electric as per your specifications. My suggestion to any new member is to spend some time browsing the tech headings in this forum. There is a ton of information regarding the various carb models that came as oe on IH vehicles as well as discussion about the options for aftermarket upgrades.

Then you can navigate to the online store portion of the website and do some window shopping. The best thing if and when you get ready to place an order is to give Jeff a call during normal business hours so that you can provide all pertinent vehicle data in a live fashion. Should you choose to purchase from ihon, rest assured your item will arrive in short order, complete and ready for plug-n-play installation with only minor fine tuning possibly required on your part. This vendor provides top notch customer service before, during, and after the sale. I am not in the employ of or affiliated with ihon in any way. Just a satisfied customer.
