Well since the weather has been crazy this last week and I refuse to install siding when its 111 in the shade, I decided to take a sawzall to the Scout.....again.

Also ordered two of these from ballistic fab for the ends.

Ive still got one more tube to put in to support the tail of the slider and a few gussets for the frame mounts. Then ive got to find some ar (abrasive resistant) steel plate to skin them with.

I don't understand how working in the shop at 111 degrees with welders and hot steel, is any better than hanging siding at 111 degrees with a hot nail gun

19 3/4" (SOA on sii axles and rear springs with 35" tires) and once I get my drivetrain pushed up I'll skin it from frame to frame with ar plate as well.

That is about the same as mine, I am 21 on 37s. I have stretched to 109 wheelbase also with Chevy rears and toy/Jeep fronts on a hp44. Is that a '70 the turn signal area looks like a different year?

I covered over the stock hole with some sheet metal to have a flat surface to mount on then just used 10 buck napa lights. Worked out pretty slick.

Its gone now but I dont remember mine having the bulge at the signal lights.

She dosnt even know that thing on the floor is a welder let alone that its a mig. But I didnt marry her for her welding skils.:d
