Carburetor replacement

Hi there
Got a Holley 1940 on my 258 straight six can't find a new one has anyone got any idea of a replacement make ie; Weber, Stromberg etc???
Help would be appreciated
Ttfn Steve

I ran a small Holley 4-barrel carb on my AMC 258" I-6 back in the day.
I used a Clifford 6=8 aluminum intake manifold.
I still have the manifold.

Yep, running the Clifford cam, intake manifold, and header. Its an EFI cam, just haven't got that far yet.

Okay dokey cheers for the heads up guys. I've managed to locate an original replacement just seemed to talk to the right person on the right day £265 delivered 👍 happy days and no dicking around changing linkages etc, once again thanks. I'm still trying to find the origen of the truck, been all over the truck like a rash and only find numbers on the passenger rail = 70208 the first zero seems to have an 's' in the centre of it but in the words of Daffy Duck 'That's All Folks'
Cheers Steve

Hit the American driver side frame rail in the front wheel arch. That's the spot for chassis serial number. Show us some more pics of the A and B pillars with the doors open.

Ticketty boo. My wife and I haven't watched American TV shows in years (ok, Bosch was an exception) because of the crappy story lines, crappy writing, terrible acting. British shows are superior in almost every way, and we enjoy the unique sayings and phrases that sometimes puzzle us, although we catch the drift. Currently watching New Tricks. I get tosser, in the nick, etc., but haven't had the heart to tell me wife what 'wanker' is, though. LOL.

Hi fella, I know what you mean 😅 if you want a real laugh ta ke a look at a cop series called Ashes to Ashes, sent in the 1970s, guy drives a mk3 Cortina that gets a right ragging (drive it like you stole it) you can't get away with that sort of stuff now 🙄 enjoy
TTFN (ta ta for now) Steve

Hi fella, got my lines mixed up. First series was called Life On Mars with the Cortina, second series was called Ashes to Ashes with an Audi Quattro, still got a good ragging too😅
