I have a 1977 Scout II, 4 cyl, 3 speed, 1 bbl carb. Basically stock. Would like to know if ther is another carb option other than the stock 1bbl Holley it came with. Nothing fancy, just something that is tuneable and easy to work on.

Tuneable and easy to work on...that sounds like a Holley 1bbl carb in good working condition. Is yours beyond repair, or have you even given that a thought? Your options are limited. If you were dealing with a v8 instead of the 4-popper, your options would be much more broad. Folks have stuck a weber 32/36 2bbl carb on their 152/196 engines with varying degrees of success. It isn't a turnkey, out of the box, bolt it on and boogie deal. Some bootyfab May be required.
