I have a 66 800 and can purchase a 80 ( 65 or earlier ) with drivetrain for $200. Mine has a 4 cylinder and the 80 has a 4 cylinder also. Will most parts interchange? Also the 80 has a half top while mine is a full top. Interchange? Thanks. John.
 
A complete Scout 80 even in-operable is worth well over $200 in parts alone. There is quite a bit that will interchange, though not 100% across the board. There were several variations of tops during the production run. The only way to be sure that one will fit on the other is to look at both closely for differences/similarities in mounting hole locations etc.
