The axle is a Dana 44. I know from experience that the pads d149 which is what GM used on 44 axles on 3/4 ton pickups. Will a rotor from a GM, Ford, dodge interchange? If so, what year? I tried using the casting numbers but they're to rusted to read. Does anyone have the oe part number to interchange? If I have to convert, can I use the spindle, caliper mount, caliper and hub rotor assm. From a 3/4 Chevy?

Parts catalog mt-136 lists IH p/n 442230c91 as a one piece hub and rotor for the '74-5 200 4x4 models. This is the holy grail, unobtainium albatross of IH parts. Rotors for the '74-5 1/2 ton 4x4 models are separate from the hub assembly. They are completely different and thus not compatible with the 200 4x4 configuration. As for parts from other makes as a substitute, folks have postulated about mixing "part a" from a GM and "part b" from mopar and "part c" from a yugo along with some of the standard IH stuff, all thrown together into a bubbling cauldron of mythical witches' brew. I don't know that anyone has been able to successfully combine that random collection of parts into a safe and effective solution. In the long run, you're probably better off swapping out the entire front axle assembly for a GM 3/4 ton passenger drop front driving axle. There'd likely be some suspension fabrication involved, but at least then you'd be dealing with an axle group that has no shortage of off the shelf replacement parts.

That's a situation actually worthy of a sad face and sniffles, as opposed to not getting instant feedback to your initial post. There's no round the clock technical support staff here poised and ready to instantly respond to each and every query that comes along the very second its posted . We want to help and we do our best as our time and knowledge allow. We're real people with real lives that don't revolve around this forum. So sometimes a response might take just a little longer than three minutes to show up. Your patience is appreciated.

Thanks for trying help. I did find that part list it as a one piece design, it's not a one piece, the rotor and hub seperate. Even pic of the new old clearly shows it as a two design. Did find a rotor specifically for the 200 but at $260 that's rip off. I think I'll try the $43 option first.

I spec'd out the rotor for the 200 and compared it to a rear brake rotor on a 2003 GM 2500hd, close enough for girls I go with. By turning down the hub where the rotor fits, then mounting hub and rotor together. Then machine out the lip for e-brake drum lip. Of course it's helpful to have access to a brake lathe which I do as worked 16 years at a shop and still friends with them.

I did the same with the rear rotors was not really worth it you will also need to make a spacer between hub and rotor it worked good but something about having home grown brakes in a big ol pig botherd me haha go Chevy outers or Dana 60 just my opinion
