Okay, I'll give it a try. Here's a website I found that gives you a very good explanation on how to take the residual valves out. I figured I'd add some picture tech to this thread, since we've covered about everything that could possibly cause this problem....

so, upon further inspection, I noticed that the caliper bracket was against the pad, which was against the rotor!
a meeting with the sledge bent it back into shape and the wheel spun freely!
now I just have to install the other e-brake cables, fix the linkage, re-bleed and my brakes will be done!
