Aussie Lockers

Has anyone tried an aussie locker in a Scout here? I know the landcruiser club out here loves them. They say they are the best bang for the buck. I am thinking of getting one while I have my rear shafts out waiting for my bearings.

I have one in the front of my Scout (d44) and like it. It has been in there since August and worked well when we went to windrock ohv in tn back in November and in the snow here this winter (we had about 24" at one point). It May not matter but I run with several Jeep guys that use them also and have had good luck. I called them to order and they asked me a few questions even though I knew which model I needed to insure that I got the right part. You must Have an open carrier for installation.

I have one in the front of hooty Scout and I'm really happy with it. The installation of the locker into the carrier is the easiest part of the job. Carrier r & r is a bit of a beeyatch, but certainly not insurmountable. Excuse me. Not an aussie. I have a spartan, which are available from IHPA. Same principle. You ought to comparison shop before you pop for one.

I installed a spartan in the d30 in the front of my 75 Scout running 32 x 11 1/2 dynapro mts a few years ago. The only problem encountered has been broken front axle u-joints, the locker works, and has held up fine.
