April Trail Run.

Not quite. Only canada can appreciate my 'unique' skill set.

Actually, rec connect aka dick and joani dufourd, finally secured enough money in this years budget to bring me on full time. For the first time in a long time, I'll be making what I'm worth. Even the dream race shop job couldn't compare to the package rec connect offered.

Congrats!! If you need any help between now and when you need to head north -- let me know.

Is this the same 'deal' that was in the works in the fall, for this summer? If so, it did sound like a sweet job and a great opportunity.

Too bad you'll have to live in freakin' canada. :dita:

amber say congrats as well!

Wow, that is great news, and I for one am happy to hear it. I think you'll excel in a job like that, and working with the dufords, just great people!! Like chris said, if you need any help before heading north let me know. I don't know what help I would be, but I have tues-thurs day off, so I am offering!

I got the official word today that I have the day off, so I am officially in!! Mike I am assuming your copilot seat is still open? If this is another tsf run, do you want to meet in wilsonville again, 7am?

Seat is yours. It is another tsf run I'm hoping more of the snow is gone.:icon_confused: meeting in wilsonville at 7 is great. How is everyone else looking on repairs? Chris? Jen & terry? I see that "casper" is ready to go.....:dita:

Team girl Scout is in. We got a loaner steering box (thanks monte!) put in yesterday. The tire is back on the bead and holding air. Good to go.

I'm still in.

Most of my repairs have been made. Those that haven't will either not be made or done on Friday at the last minute...

why arnt you coming monte? I saw you driving your green Scout down hill road a few days ago, so I know youve got a Scout running.

The green Scout is a "pavement princess" only. I still have some minor body damage to fix from the one time I thought I would take it offroad. The orange Scout is getting a fairly extensive overhaul. Don't expect to see me on any trails in my Scout for at least a year.

Maybe in a few months after the baby has setlled in I can catch a ride with you on one of these trips.

Congrats dan!! The best thing is you are getting paid for something you love to do and can do well. You will definitely be missed around these parts. On behalf of the IHSTO board, thank you for the years of being our trail boss. You do a super job when out on the trail.

Be sure to keep us updated on your new life in canada.

Lyle

gwbb trail ride will happen. If dan is not here to lead it. Then I'm sure chris or I can pick up the slack. There is no reason to think it won't happen. Done deal!
I'm in for the "out run the taxman run" which will take place Saturday April 4th.

Mike,

on behalf of the IHSTO board, thanks for the assurance the gwbb trail ride will happen. Thanks also for organizing the run in March and the up coming run in April. I know you were not trying to take over for dan, but I know all those who attended appreciated your leadership. We can formally fill the position at the next election, unless you tell us otherwise between now and then.

Thanks again,

lyle

Thanks!

However the March run was organized and led by chris. I was just a “loud participant” after having such a great time on that one I spoke up and set a date for the next. Chris and I are in “negotiations” now to see who will fill the spot. Personally I’m leaning toward a co-boss type thing. I think it would be great to have a tb leading the string and a second tb bringing up the rear. Both with cbs to keep all accounted for. I think chris and I would work well in this capacity. We will see how negotiations go. :ihih: rest easy whatever happens future trail runs will be great!…..

We certainly support the IHSTO "co-boss" deal, that is a great suggestion!
