Anyone able to identify this auto trans?

Looking to see if I can get any info on this. I believe it came out of a mail scout.

Its a Borg Warner. Not sure of the exact model ie BW 11 or 12 for instance. Forum member 'GregR' is a BW fanboy and knows them pretty well. I'd be surprised if he doesn't chime in.

yes sir, B/W is for sure, just looking to see if there is an expert on these here. I've done a bunch of research on here and other forums and seems to be IH called them many different things and then B/W also did the same. I guess 8,9,10, 11, etc.

If you can find an IH p/n anywhere, that could help nail it down. Look around the fluid pan mating surface for any machined flat places covered in rust and guapo. Its setup for either a rear wheel drive vehicle or a full size Pick-All with divorced t-case. If it was out of a 4x4 Scout, it would have the adapter housing for a married t-case.

Good point, never came across my mid but yes you are correct. There is a red tag on it for sure. I'll have to find the picture.

Right below that tag is a flat machined pad with numbers stamped into it. Degrease that pad and we might have something. The serial number is cool, but doesn't give us anything to go on.
