My carb was rebuilt and running fine then gas started coming out of the "vent" hole above the float cover on the top really bad. I have taken it apart and checked everything I knew to check but it still does it. The tanks have been cleaned, new fuel lines from front to rear and fuel pump rebuilt.

A few possibilities: 1. The float needle is sticking. Some raps on the needle adjustment screw with a non-marring object can sometimes un-stick it. 2. The float itself has a pinhole (if brass) and has become fuel logged to the point that it will no longer float, thus the needle remains down. Test the float outside of the carb bowl for buoyancy. 3. Improper float level. Adjust to proper level.
