Aluminum Radiators for Scout II

I saw your note on stock radiator availabily being not a stocked item, but does this go for the aluminum ones as well? For my 77' terra 345/727, thanks

Currently all radiators are ordered on a as needed basis. With the higher cost of this item added to the current economy it makes it real tough financially to stock such a item. Hopefully by early next year these items will be back on the shelf as a normally stocked item.

Im in need of a new radiator my tanks are cracked due to rock crawling flex plus aluminum is just much better how do I go about getting one

ok I asked for a radiator for Christmas and my good friend/ customer said he will buy it .do the radiators come with the full flaoting kit or is all that seperate???

We tried the full floating kit but honestly with little to no demand we aborted that part and no longer offer it. We do offer for the stock replacement aluminum radiator a shouldered bolt with a heavy grommet to support the radiator. This still allows some flex. Cost for four shouldered bolts, washers and grommets is $10.

Jeff,

are you guys not carrying or sell the aluminum radiators anymore? I swear I saw them on the site before but now all I see is a single diesel radiator.

Thanks
-Mark

As posted earlier these are not listed online. Please call to order. Current pricing(subject to change at any time) is $499.95 plus shipping. Add $50 if for an automatic and need the built in cooler.

Thanks Jeff. I keep eating radiators in the racer for random reasons and I'm running out of "spares" :d

I May need to go this route if this keeps up, just trying to figure out how much to budget.

Very happy with my purchase of the aluminum radiator fits perfect and runs cool now im on to the less expansive important things that im in need of radiator 004.jpg

Not so happy now,I guess my flexfan hit the radiator at high rpms totally wasted a 550 dollar aluminum radiator. Is there anything you can do for me Jeff or am I screwed and have to buy another one. Does anyone repair these things or is it possible.any info would be great thank you.

Sorry for the bad luck. I'll call the manufacturer and see what it will cost to recore. Get rid of that flex fan as they are crap.

Well thanks Jeff im gonna run an electric fan I guess from now on the truck came with the flex fan and I didn't see any reason to change it till now I don't know if grass chunks got a caught in blades or just fan hit it but it is winter time and now I can't go play

I can't go play either as my ride with a fairly brand new engine blew a head gasket. Double check your motor, transmission and body mounts as any of those under extreme circumstances can cause enough flex that things will collide.

I have rpt motor mounts and a new trans mount also new poly body bushings all tight and almost no miles on them im pretty sure it was grass chunks catching in fan than tearing into the cores o well I will be calling u shortly to order new one or somthing thanks

One of the nice things about a thermostatic fan clutch is the clutch. It will allow the fan to stop spinning, or spin much slower, in deep water or heavy rain. I replaced my big nut water pump with a 4 bolt one and run a Chevy clutch and fan blade. Works great! Pulled an 18' rv trailer out of death valley with the Scout 2 summers ago with no problems either.

hey Jeff you think he can make one for a 1970 Scout 800a?

Aluminum radiators for the Scout 80/800 are currently in development for both the 4cyl and v8 engines and should be available hopefully within the next 60 days. Currently we have available to us aluminum radiators for the 41'-49' truck, 51'-57' truck and the Scout II. Just yesterday we received from our newest radiator supplier an aluminum Scout II radiator. It looks every bit as good as our current supplier but the retail pricing will be $100 less than what we currently sell our aluminum radiators at which also puts them price wise under the retail cost for a copper/brass radiator.

Hi Jeff, thanks for your resonse, tell your radiator guy that if he makes a radiator for the 1970 800a 345cyl that I am totally in. That is a hard part to find. Thanks
