Not much in the way of Hi-Po aftermarket parts for these engines. Not even that much in the way of standard replacement parts presently due to Sniffy Brandon's supply chain fiasco. These aren't race motors. They're full duty cycle, long duration work horses. The design philosophy behind them at the time was "slow and steady wins the race...eventually". The heads don't flow well, because they don't need to at 3800 rip-ems. The rotating assembly is massive and heavy because it will last a long time that way. For shits and grins, a few folks over the years with fat wallets and know-how have gone down the rabbit hole in search of 300 hp at the wheels. If any of these efforts were successful, you can bet your sweet bippy it didn't come cheap. Even if they were unsuccessful, that also didn't come cheap. Aftermarket parts research and development is expensive. There'd be a very poor return on that investment from this relatively small, niche community of Binderphiles.
