I have decided to keep this one I have grown an attachment to it now. So I will start the build thread here so yall can see whats going on with it. Here it is when got it to the shop.

Here is where I found it in scott's valley, at least it sat under a canopy for about 4 years the po claims. He explained to me the power steering pump started leaking so he parked it and never got around to fixing it.... He bought a rebuild kit for pump and other goodies but it just sat. He also threw in a new 12 circuit painless wiring harness, aluminum dash panel for round gauges, a box with a complete weather striping kit and window gaskets also a highlift jack and 2 gas cans for the rear swing out carrier bumper. I was totally happy with this buy for sure

After priming the oil pump and changing all the important fluids I had it up and running great. I found out the carb needed a rebuild so I handled that.I took it out for some testing

After testing it out the starter took a major dump and started smoking and parts of it were loose, luckily I had a spare at the shop that I had removed from a previous tear down of my bosses old 1210 pickup.after that she was back up and rallyeing around but I had no traction with the lil bald 31" a/t so I switched them out for some 33" m/t that I had from the tear down of the other 78 rally I recently tore down. I changed the plugs today and installed a k&n filter. Also I thought the u joints were going out but I changed the driveshaft out for a larger stronger one and still clunks into gear. Im thinking it is the rear end goin bad but the front does it also in 4wd. Is it possible the tcase could be worn out bad enough to cause this?????

Well took it out wheelin at the summit and than went for some private property at a friends house. I tried to pull out a van and got stuck than the toyota got stuck so a j*#p had to pull us out. It was a sad day but a fun weekend

This one is up for sale im taking offers nothing mechanicly wrong with this truck just needs a window frame. The rockers have been replaced by d&c extreme its all there with some extras also. Pm if you need or want any other info thanks

So the rear end blew up in my rally. So I took the rear axle out of my parts traveler. Here are some pics of the process I also had to make the doner axle spring over alot of fun
