Well you've picked the right vehicle to frustrate the crap out of you and fall in love at the same time. So where we at right now with this? Any new developments?

Ok so I've got the interior stripped, scraped & cleaned out. There is not as much rust and damage as I expected. So why I'm waiting for my new mig to get delivered I started stripping the exterior...this is where I ran into issues. The po it seems was fond of fixing dents by drilling holes and pulling the dents & loved bondo :( ...soo I am now in search of used rear quarter panels & need to pick up new end caps from IH parts...

Cool deal. Both my dogs, when I had them, grew to love riding in my Scout. They new I was taking them out hiking somewhere.

I'm kinda fond of the paint you were sporting, and got a nice little shock when I saw the stripped paint on the one side, until I read why. Gotta love the ole p.o. Virus, not.

Lol...the wife wasn't to happy to see all the paint stripped either. If she gets her way it will go back to that color when it's done:thumbsup:

Btw - if you get into a pinch. There might be replacement sheet metal for the rear corner panels in the Scout II's. I know that IHPA has a listing of body panel replacement parts in their online store. I have purchased a few floor board pieces from them for my own projects

Thanks..yea they have them, I just hope I can find some used ones in good shape because the new ones are spendy!

So have made a little more progress and got the drivers side floor cut out...I was happy to see all the braces were in good shape & the front brace/frame support ?? Looked rusty but turned out to just be some surface rust..

Lol didn't say I got them cheap(rears were 100 a piece, included inner and outer and he had more) but I needed them..

Thats about what the price I keep getting. I guess I'm just a cheap skate and think 40-50 bucks is more than enough.
