727 Storage question

I just bought an engine, tranny and transfer case out of a 79 Scout. The tranny, a 727 ( I was told) has about 2000 miles on an overhaul. I don't need to install this right away, my trannys are working fine. Is there a recommended procedure for storage?
Any help is appreciated.

Keep moisture and chupacabras out of it ron. Sack it up and tie it off in a heavy gauge plastic bag and you should be golden.
