71 Scout II .... Turn Signal Switch

I am needing to replace the turn signal switch in my Scout.... How labor intensive is it.... I`m pretty mechanically inclined. My ? Is should I give it a go or should I have a qualified grease monkey do it for me.... Thanks

You can do it, bobby boucher. You need a steering wheel puller and a lock plate press. If you don't have the service manual for your Scout...shame on you. But, there are plenty of videos on youtube showing how to access turn signal switches on 70's era GM/saginaw columns. Even if you have the manual, the videos are worth watching.
