Off to wally world! Made a deal on this rig a couple weeks ago in norcal (long distance from oahu). I was raised IH on the farm, currently into early broncos (built '69 & '68 crawler project) and couldn't stay away from this 'ol girl. We're a family of 6 so finding an old school 4x4 to carry us all and our camping gear with the possibility of a tow rig for the crawler was key. My wife fell in love with a coworkers '64 1200 out here and we almost bought it but it was just too far gone with rot. Found this one that appears in pretty good shape (much better than the '64 mentioned) at a fraction of the cost.
Stats:
1967 Travelall 1100b 4x4
sv 304 w/ "increased cooling"
t-98a manual 4spd
np-202 xfer case
Dana-44 clsd knuckle front w/ 4.09s
Dana-44 rear w/ 4.09s and powerlock
power steering/ brakes
61 amp alternator
super capacity heater/ defroster
bone stock!
We're flying out to visit the grandparents for halloween (pumpkin patch on the ranch in chico) and I'll pick'er up then and hopefully get her running again and up to the hills for some family fun! She'll stay at the ranch in chico until we move home in 5 yrs or so when she'll become my dd as my non-smogable 2004 powerstroke won't be coming home w/ us. She's sat for 3 years when she was parked in good running order by the po due to a new baby in his family. Hoping a fuel system cleaning, standard fluid changes/ flushes and a tuneup will have her back to life.
Currently looking at a '71 1110 4x4 pickup for some donor parts to include the 392 that's in it.
More to come as she comes back to life...
