Doing some resto work on a 61 and was just wondering if anyone can tell me if a replacement vacuum module for the distributor is available.

61 in great shape, has 54,000 miles and has been in a barn since about 1980.

According to that. Those are for Holley and prestolite distributors. A 1961 152 would be a delco distributor.

Sorry. I should have looked more closely at the picture. As far as year goes, distributors get swapped around like rock stars swap girlfriends, so that is anything but definitive. The pic tells the story though. The IH app delcotron is much less commonplace than the Holley offerings. Too bad because the delco's are a superior unit. I don't know if there is a source for replacement vac advance cans for that unit. You would think with the amount of them installed in GM vehicles that there would be a ready supply.

Sat down with my delco guy and we found numerous suitable subtitutes, the only catch was that all were nipples instead of the I.f fitting so I will just have to run a small section of vacuum hose.
