I have a 43 m2-4 green diamond 233 going to swap it and put in a 392. Will the h-41 transmission bolt to the 392 or do I need get rid of h 41 as well and say bye bye pto?

Don't know for sure about bolt up, but a 392 with a t18/19 behind it will have an access plate for a pto. I would think the h41 trans would be way to weak for a 392.

I dont know. First time dealing with International. Since I have to do transmission. Guess the pto is going bye bye and the 460 with c6 transmission I have satting in garage is going in thanks for the info not going to get the 392 then transmission. Rather pu what I already have in it. I know I know I can hear it now putting a Ford motor and transmission in an International. . thank you again for the info

Probably not much more involved than a IH sv8 plus matching trans. Likely to be a can of worms either way.

Thank you. So back to the original plan. Was hoping to keep the pto setup but that's out. So 43 International rat rod. Ford 460 c6 transmission. Out comes the welder scrapped knuckles and a few headaches and then axles and gears will be next issue. Opened that can of worms when I saw the truck

If you want to keep the pto, most any truck manual has a plate that can be removed and a pto can be connected. A Ford t18 will do the job just fine behind a 460. Got some pictures of the truck to share with us???

But already have a c6 auto I got with the 460. There is a guy few hundred miles away that is interested in the pto setup his truck is straight marine issue m 2-4. Mine after the war a company called al asher out of la bought a bunch of the installed cabs in them and put them to work in construction. Mine was used for setting telephone poles. Have a couple pictures up of the truck up. Right now have slot of front end removed get get ready to pull motor. Doesn't look right without lights and front grill

I understand that. When I got the 460 it came with the auto matic transmission. Since it is a perfect transmission. At this point rather sell pto winch setup and h 41, green diamond and put in what I already have. Get a winch that way it's back on the road in over 40 years
