345 to 392 AFI adjustments?

I went back and somebody took the whole motor. I will keep an eye out for another one. I will get a total price too, as they add environmental fees and taxes too. I have a couple sets of big block injectors if either of you need em.

Thanks for the effort Craig. I need to make the 2 hour drive to our pick n pull too but just hate making that drive and not even knowing what theyve got

Ok I now have a bbc throttle body in my possession as well as a rear mount transdapt carb adapter. W00t. This also came with the computer, a stock chip, and a custom chip that was a bit richer in his camaro. (he was running this on a first gen camaro).

So now I need to figure out how to adapt the new bbc controls (tps etc) to my existing sbc TBI stuff and I'm ready to start logging some data.

Ok so I'm running out of time and ditched the bbc TBI. A nice 350 unit is running things for the time being and it is running. Still getting the cooling system hooked up for now

?
why did you ditch the bbc tb ?

the only difference is swapping 2 wires on the iac . all the rest is the same.

The iac and the tps used different plugs...neither of which I have in my possession (its always something isnt it?). So for now I will have to get by with the 350 TBI unit, at least for the weekend.

New question tho, while I was topping off the coolant, I brought it up to operating temperature and double checked the timing. When I unplugged the bypass, I confirmed it is set on 0 degrees and plugged the bypass back in. When I hopped back into the cab it had set a code 42 (42 the est signal did not change when the ECM applied bypass voltage to the ignition module).

Is that normal or do I need to look closer at something?

Normal, you were running the engine with the bypass disconnected..so the ECM couldn't see the ign module. So it set the fault.

That's why you need to unplug the ECM or the battery to clear fault codes before logging data.

Hmmm, I must have missed the memo on how to log data. I can get a little bit of data under the raw tab, but nothing on blm or sensor.

I double checked the baud, com ports, uninstalled, reinstalled, etc etc...and I still get no blm, sensors, or anything else. All I get is info under the raw tab.

Any ideas?

you mght regret that choice.
Even if you didn't want it...they are very easy to sell!!

Ok I was out at pnp looking for axle parts and grab a 2" TBI with the water thingy on the bottom:winky: it's complete with all the sensors, so when I went to checkout I got charged for a sensor, so it was $66 out the door. These are hard to find, as this is only the second one I've seen and the first with the adapeter, most are gone before I get there. I was thinking of using the water cooled thingy on my setup, but it has 2" bore, vs mine which is the smaller 1 11/16 so I might need a transition adapter?
Bill you ever use the stock water cooled adapter before? I have a 2" body lift so it would fit.

$66 ain't bad for a bbc tb with injectors.

So are you planning to just use the inj's, the whole thing or just the adapter?

If your question was to just use the adapter with the sbc tb then yes you can as long as you have a spreadbore intake manifold. It won't work on a sq bore. And use the small tb gasket.
Don't you already have an adapter?

I do not run one since I run the 2 barrel manifold!

Thanks bill. I too have a two barrel manifold, so this would only be used if I had a bling bling aluminum intake. Humm, thats not on the list of must have parts at this time. I will sell it to somebody that needs one. I not lookng to make money, but more to help others out. I will sell it for what I paid for it, maybe ask for a couple extra bucks to cover gas cost.
