304 to 392 swap in '66 1100 4 X 4

I got a great '66 1100A 4X4 - SWB body, frame, drive train - except for engine, is in great shape. Want to swap engine out with a 392 out of a '75 Travelall - I have been told "oh yeah it will work great" but no details. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

That's about it identical block with 1/2" taller deck height. Should bolt right in.

Compare engine mounts and oil pans between the two. There may or may not be some differences there

Thanks Scoutboy & FD, the motor mount is different on the 392 but the bosses / mounting holes are there and drilled. May have to swap oil filter and exhaust manifolds out with the 304 as well as the water pump. The pump on the 392 is cruder up. One of the 392 exhaust manifolds was broken also. A little concerned that the 304 exhaust manifolds may be to small even though they appear to bolt right up, any thoughts? Thanks again!

Should be the same...center dump...fits all IH 4 cylinder and V8 gas engines.
