304 to 392 Conversion

Hey all,
I'm sure this has been covered before but what does it take to install a 392 into a Scout II that has a 304 w/a 727 and a 2" body lift?

I have a 2300 series 500cfm 2-bbl, a set of stan's tri-y headers and a dui unit w/a maybe no-good 304. Trying to look into options here if the motor must be replaced.

Accessory brackets for alt and p-steering
water pump and housing and fan
valve covers
oil pan
motor mounts
timing gear cover
fuel pump
starter
oil pressure and temp sending units

basically what can be taken from the 304 and used on the 392?
Does the same apply to a 345?

The truck is a summer driver only.

Thanks,

Its actually pretty painless, I just swapped a 345 out and ic 392 in, no problems at all except with the pulleys for power steering and such, make sure you have the right number in the right place. Also, with the fan shroud you will have to lower it by however high your body lift is.

Ive only driven it a little bit, and it sits you in your seat pretty good with the 392, the 345 had flat cam and worn out pistons so it had no power at all anyways so I dont have a good comparison except to my old 73 Scout with 345 I had 24 years ago and the 392 seems alot stronger for sure. I had to just measure the power steering belt and buy one close, now mine routes to the water pump pulley..... The alt belts where the same as before.
