304 Spark Plug Suggestion

I was thinking of buying some spendy plugs maybe a heat range hoter. Anybody have any suggestions of part numbers? I have had good luck with them in the past. (bosch platinum etc.) mine is slightly prone to flooding and I just don't have a lot of faith in the cheap ones.
 
Don't know what you're running now, but you're fouling might well be the result of improper carb tuning. The autolite 85's are a popular choice. The rumor that's been going around for awhile now is that they're being made in china, which if true is a damn shame. I've run the bosch platinums and they worked fine, but you have to be real careful about adjusting the gap. It takes a special tool. You can't use a feeler gauge like with normal plugs as it will stress out the funky electrode. You might consider ngk plugs. They're made in japan, but they've always been made there. I've got a set in my 1210 345 and I'm pretty pleased with 'em.
 
Okay, thanks for the advice. I looked up the ngk's and they are showing their normal plug is the 3332. The platinum ones are $9 a piece and they are part 7355. Do you think they are worth 4 times the money...?
 
Hmm...9 times 8 is $72. Then I've got plug wires...I wanna go with some decent 8mm...then there's the cap, rotor and...holy christ no! I'd have to be convinced beyond all possible doubt that by simply spending $9 a pop on spark plugs, I'd be gaining a minimum 25 hp's, 30ft/lbs, and 5 mpg's. That would probably entice me. Outside of that, I'm thinking the standard versions will fit the bill just fine.
 
Hey guys,
a year and a half later.......I have a '77 304 w/ a performance distributor dui, mild schneider cam, slight bump in compression, stan's tri-y headers and a stock rebuilt carb. What spark plugs would you recommend?
