2300 list 4306 fuel bowl search

I have been searching the carbs forum and reading every result that turned up with a search for the number "4306" but I can't seem to find a part number for this list number carburetor's float bowl. I have looked on the Holley website and all over the internet in search of a solid lead. I even found one post where an "experienced mechanic" denied that the 4306 list number ever existed!

So here I am, assuming there is a bowl that will likely fit in place of my current sidehung bowl with a left-hand fuel inlet boss. The boss is cracked and dripping fuel, and this must be corrected before I can run again, drive my Scout to college, and start on my custom-fab composite dash. I would be more than happy to swap to a centerhung bowl if they are compatible, but I'm already looking at an awkward routing for the fuel line with the high-inlet bowl that's on there... Any lower on the lh side and I'll have an excuse to custom-bend some aluminum tubing for a better shot at fuel delivery.

Well kyle, you can tell the naysayers to suck it as that list number is most definitely a valid one for an IH app 2300. My documentation shows it as corresponding to a 1969 m/y. There are actually two listings for that number with unique IH part numbers, one for a 304 and one for a 345, both with manual trans. You say left hand fuel inlet, as in viewed from the cockpit of a usa lhd rig? If so, that's the common configuration and any 2300 or 41xx side hung float bowl should suffice.

Is the carb a Holley 2300 2 bbl? Might check the fuel bowl from a Holley 4bbl carb from about the same years. Doesn't have to be a IH truck. Can you post a picture of the carb? :cornut:

I'm near ordering a 4bbl fuel bowl as we speak, and yes it's a 2300. One of the mayben reworks outta or-ee-gone. Likely just gonna buy a primary bowl for a sidehung 41xx.

Thanks for the replies!
