1975 scout dash wiring

I bought a 1975 Scout recently. The previous owner ripped out all of the wiring in the front. I have re-wired most of the front and rear end. There is one problem I cannot figure out the wires for the dash cluster. Is there a diagram or any help out there?

A service manual available for purchase from ihon, the vendor who makes this site possible, is your best bet. Check their online store or give them a call in the morning.

I already have a service manual the problem is there is no information in it that shows where the wires are suppose to run to. It shows random diagrams I am looking for information on how the instruments are suppose to connect together. In the manual it shows the three dash components all being wired together some how and it makes no since. I guess I will call them in the am and see if they have additional things that are not in the original manuals. If there is any other members with information please let me know.

The gauge pods all have printed circuit boards and pin connectors on the back. Connector plugs are attached to the pins. Each circuit is individually labeled and the runs for every one of them are specified in the fsm wiring diagrams along with wire size, ie 10-12-14-16 etc. While somewhat challenging to read due to size, I've looked at them many times to isolate various circuits and wiring issues in y own diagnostic efforts. Not sure what else you're looking for.

I continue to post most all wiring schematics I have in this thread:

Post #2 is the '74>'77 Scout II information which is a .pdf file and can easily be expanded for reading once downloaded.

All information regarding instrumentation is covered in the service manual and most especially the wiring schematic. This is standard automotive service procedure, no other information is available. Universal ihc-produced wire run specifications are contained within the document along with all harness pinouts.

Thank you for the information I guess I looked over this page while I was looking for it. I was getting frustrated trying to figure out what someone messed up.

Library thread is probably one of the biggest gold mines for working on this junk in existence!

Thanks mr. Mayben for keeping that up and running =d
