This Scout im buiding came without wipers or a wiper motor.the windshield frame appears to have mounting holes on top. I thought the wipers on this model were bottom mounted and electric.is it possible the frame was changed?

That's strange rite there. You are correct to think the 800's had the wipers on the bottom and along with that was a fixed windshield frame not fold down frame. If you look at the bottom you May see a long piano hinge along the lower edge of the frame. If so you have a model 80 body. Can you post some pictures of it? Maybe we can id it more closely for you so you don't buy the wrong parts along the way.

There is no piano hinge on windshield frame. Here are a few pics, though not real clear. The holes in top of frame appear to be mounting holes.

That shore is a purdy Scout:icon_heartbeat:
don't know what to tell you about the wiper mounting holes, but it looks like an 800 body all the way.

Hey thanks Scout boy 74! I had a '74 Scout II that I built, sold it and have been working on this baby for the last couple months. It has '74 Scout II axles and springs with a SOA (used front springs on all four corners due to the length of rear springs), 232 straight 6 that I mated to a t-18 four speed. Has been a pretty challenging project so far!

Yeah, that is a nice rig.
That hole in the first photo of the top of the frame looks like a po virus. I think you can see more from below the dash. The mech and vacuum motors were below so unless the po welded them over and they are invisible you should be able to see witness of them from below the dash and up in the corner where the windshield attaches.
