1970 Scout 800A Build

Here are a few pictures of my current Scout project.


  • Stock 232 inline 6 cylinder
    t-18 four speed mated to a Dana 20 t/c with twinstick shifters
    SOA lift w/ Scout II front springs on all four corners
    Scout II Dana 44 axles w/disc brakes and auto hubs.
    Aftermarket in dash gauges
    Chevy truck 60/40 split bench seat & belts
    kenwood sound system.
    Still a work in progress, thanks for looking!:icon_smile:

Love the Scout! I am working on a build of my own that I warmly refer to as project tetanus.:icon_twisted:

I was curious about the front seat, if you had your doors on would they close with that seat? What type of truck did you take the seat out of?

The seat was in the Scout when I got it. I think the doors will close ok, but May be a little snug. Its definately out of a Chevy truck, prob mid-90s.its a 60/40 split bench and sits very comfortable. I added 3 point shoulder belts from a '95 Chevy truck, with the upper mount attached to roll bar.
 
Thanks! I have 3 kids and it's rare that they all go but if they wanted to the youngest could ride in front between the wife and I. I used to have a 91 Chevy and the seat looks like the same one...
 
Here are a few more pics of seat and dash. I plan on putting a black seat cover on it. Please post some pics of your project, before during and after!
