I've read through the threads and for the life of me can't find where anyone has mentioned what the dwell angle is supposed to be for the 1510...I thought I remember someone mentioning 33 degrees but I want to verify the true number before I go messing around. I'd like to take care of this before I tune time and tune my carbs.....and the dwell angel is..............:icon_question:

With points, 28 to 32 deg seems best as stated, but for 'new' points, I find going a bit to the wide side for point gap seems to be helpful in not needing to get back in to re-set the gap after a few miles. The high spots on the rubbing block will wear off quickly making the gap closer. If the points need 17/1000, try initial setting at 18/1000. Check the dwell again after 100 miles.
